My parents were up for a brief while on Saturday. My dad brought this magazine article for me about the colts superbowl journey! Natalie saw it on the kitchen table, grabbed it, and came running in yelling, "Mommy, Mommy!!!! It's Peyton Manning!" She loves Peyton. She tells me all the time that she's going to marry him. haha.. Sorry kid, but keep dreaming!

This clown really isn't as creepy as he looks! It always reminds me of childhood.... My parents bought it for me when I was about 4 yrs. old or so. Apparently, we were in St. Thomas, and I pitched such a fit because I wanted it! But, the one I wanted was a life-size version. haha. So, this one came home instead....
Sometimes, when I look at it, I'm reminded of how much simplier life was as a child. Why couldn't that simplicity remain????

Meet Max. Max is one of my parents cat. We all say he is the world's laziest cat! This is pretty much wat he does all day. It's rare that you see Max downstairs! I call him an "upstairs" cat since that is where he usually spends most of his days.... Laying around, doing nothing. Wouldn't that be nice? :-)

Poor Natalie... This is how she spent a lot of the day. Home sick, on the couch. Although, I'll be honest, I spent a lot of the day cuddled on the couch with her! :-) She started to feel better by late afternoon. By 3pm, she was practicing her round-off's and jumping on the couch... Figures, huh?

Over the weekend my sister was here visiting. She took Natalie to the grocery store to pick some stuff out and Natalie picked these flower out for me. I love how bright they are! Even in the middle winter, you can still find pretty colorful flowers! Thanks Natalie! You know I LOVE flowers! :-)

Natalie and I were both off school today for Martin Luther King day. We had such a good together! We played some wii, went to lunch, made some valentine's cards then finally pulled out her Easy Bake Oven that she got for Christmas.

Today Natalie and I headed up to the Dunes. I wanted to take her to the outlet mall for new shoes. I've always wanted to check out the lake when it's cold and frozen up there! Natalie and I met this new guy! Isn't he beautiful!! He was chewing on something, and I whistled at him. His head popped up! Beautiful, huh?

GYMNASTICS NIGHT!! It always makes for a busy afternoon/evening. After we got home, Natalie took a shower then started homework... I knew I hadn't taken my picture yet for today. So I grabbed my camera. She gives me her sweet smile and says, "Is this your picture for today?" (I have her well trained!!!) Then she puts her head on her arm and flashes her smile! She's a natural!! Oh, and we finally got the homework finished. Off to laundry!

Tonight Natalie was playing with her princess checkers game. Of course, since she was playing alone, she really wasn't playing real checkers - just with the princesses! haha.
I was cooking dinner and I came in to check on her. She had all of the cinderella's lined up in a nice neat row. I grabbed my camera, and knew this had to be today's picture!! The neat row was screaming "PICTURE!"

Tonight a few friends and I went to a cooking demonstration/class. The menu included all chicken dishes. It was heavenly!! This is the pecan crusted chicken and garlic mashed potatoes.. YUM!!

Here are a few of my willow tree angels. I love these!! They mean a lot to me and have been given to me at special times. Some were given when my son, Luke died. I have one from when Steve and I were married this past spring. The two on the left were given to me one year by my sister. The girls are holding each other's hands. They make me smile.....

LEGOS!! Steve is a huge lego fan. He is currently in the middle of building "the city." With the help of Natalie, of course. It will be a few week process. But I'm ok with that - it keeps him busy! I loved all the colors of these legos in the box. These are some of Steve's spare parts. Today, I looked around the basement and told him, "It's a mess!" His response? "It's in transition!" haha.

I love photographing barns. They have such a story to them, and they are beautiful! Today, I was killing a few minutes before heading to my workout at the Y. I had been driving around taking in all the snow that had fallen again today. I came across this barn so I pulled to the side of the road, turned on my hazards, grabbed the camera, and took a few pictures. I love the flag!

The tooth is gone!! Last night she kept asking me to pull it, and I couldn't bring myself to doing it. I told her to ask the teacher's at the Y - I heard they enjoying pulling the kids teeth! haha. So, today I pick her up and she comes running to me - tooth in a baggie! Yep, the teachers at the Y pulled it. So, I guess the tooth fairy will be visiting tonight.

Natalie's first loose tooth!! My baby girl is growing up! I picked her up the Y this afternoon, and she came running to me, "Mommy, I have to show you something! I hope a loose tooth." There are so many times she has *thought* she had a loose tooth, but was very mistaken! This time she was right - it was wiggling like crazy! Should be out any day now. Stay tuned.

The start of putting Christmas away. I always hate this task, but am always glad when it's over! As much as I love the holiday's, and decorating for them, it's nice to reclaim my house. Thus, we begin the long task of putting it away until next year!!
